Last MinuteIf agencies like BBDO-GO, JimBasic and Saatchi & Saatchi have their own in-house bands, JWT goes one step further to prove that they too, can be musically inclined.
Confined within our gray and white walls are a group of “reluctant rock stars” that have recently gotten together for an impromptu gig for former JWT planner Toni Platon’s farewell bash. “We thought of putting up a band 3 days before the party and had our one and only practice session the night before. It doesn’t take a genius to know why we’re called Last Minute”, says supposed band manager (although she won’t admit it) Cez Golez.
From last time’s performance, it appears that Last Minute’s music is a blend of acoustic rock and alternative. However, they’re very open to playing any requested song for as long as you tell them in advance. Well, we can’t wait for the next JWT get together because we hear these guys are scheduled to perform then. Will they be good enough to join this year’s Advertising Band Congress? We’ll leave the judging up to you.
