Due to insistent demand and a couple of violent reactions (we won't name names), Juice Water Tinapay is now allowing comments beginning with the last two entries. We're allowing anonymous comments to make posting easier for those without Google/Blogger accounts.

New Kids On The Block
The original boy band may be staging a comeback this year but you ain’t gonna read about Jordan, Joey, Donnie, Danny and Jonathan here (at least not today). We’re talking about Nina, Niki, Icel and Boyet--the fresh, new faces from Accounts and Creatives that the agency’s acquired over the past 2 months (and yes, there are more coming in soon—but we’ll save that for a different post).
So before you start whispering “Sino nga ulit yun?” to the nearest chap, here’s getting to know the new guys better.

What was your first impression of JWT on your first day?
Niki: I noticed that nobody brushes their teeth here (hello accounts!) after eating lunch. :-)
Nina: Hmmm, I'd like to think about that.
Icel: It's oh-so-quiet! :D
Boyet: Ang tahimik ng mga tao. Or I may have just timed-in early?
What do you think of Juice Water Tinapay? (Ahem)
Niki: I think the blog is cool! I hope Juice Water Tinapay supports my DJ gigs. (For free booze, you bet we'll support!)
Nina: Pretty cool! :D
Icel: It's the Buzz/TV Patrol of JWT!

Boyet: I think it's a good way of sharing/knowing the 'wazzup' in the office.
How many shots of tequila can you consume before it's time to hit the toilet? (VERY important question)
Niki: Tequila? Suka me!!!!! 5 shots, I think.....
Nina: None, I swore off tequila! (We'll see about that!)

JWT Manila wins a Clio
We’re still on a high from bagging the only Clio for the country this year—a bronze metal for the Shell “Are We There Yet” radio commercial! It took more than a year of pushing this idea to client until it was finally approved. Since then, it's scored a 7 at the WWCC (The Global Creative Challenge) and it’s been adapted by the Global Shell office, blaring on local radio stations across London bloody London! JWT ECD Dave Ferrer calls it “our sweetest victory so far”.
(Click here to listen to the RC.)
Juice Water Tinapay corners Joe Dy, the writer and CD behind the award-winning radio spot, for a little chat.
What were the first words you uttered when you found out you won?
"Holy crap!" Seriously.
Who was the first person you called to share the news?
Angel Locsin. She has always been supportive of my work, displaying
unrelenting patience and understanding. Naturally, I wanted her to
share in this momentous occasion. She cried.
Where do you get your inspiration for great work?
Well, I was surfing in Siargao when I saw some logs... ay, teka.
Hindi pala ako `yun.
How much did you have to drink at your celebration party?
One Beer. (tm)
So, are we there yet?
Depends. Is this the last question?

BAT leaves the Dark Side
It’s moving day at work!
Resident BATman-turned-Mr. Brightside Onat Roldan and his BAT girls will now be saying hello to bright fluorescent lights and sunshine as the entire team leaves the dim comforts of their work zone for a more spacious area on the other side. We're expecting the Accounts room to be a little, well, noisier, now that these guys are moving in to where Planning used to be. As for our three female planners, you’ll be seeing these pretty ladies bumping heads together at the area formerly known as Production. Finally, dragging their mountainous heaps of newspapers, posters, videotapes and magazines to the old BAT area are Maika and the rest of the Prod. gang.
Getting used to a new place shouldn't be too much of a problem right? Well, we spotted Onat and Kat Moldes fumbling for the light switches in Accounts earlier, plummeting the entire room into blackness and causing a slight uproar among the people (they say it was an accident but we have our doubts). Sorry, Batties, but it looks like Golda and her team think that there's just no fun being kept in the dark. However, perhaps a visit to Kanto Bar will change their minds?
Happy settling, everyone!
(By the way, in case you're all wondering where our IT Department went, he got himself a private room across from where he used to sit. Iba ka talaga, Sir Peter!)

Juice Water Tinapay
Crack open a bottle or two for JWT Manila’s Unofficial Blog Site—now ready to serve you with the latest tidbits, the freshest ideas and basically, whatever else we can get our grubby hands on.
In case you’re wondering, Juice Water Tinapay is “unofficial” because apparently, we’re not allowed to use the company logo and name for a new website (hence, the weirdly cool address name).
We’ll be adding more content here as soon as we get our act together. In the meantime, stay posted. We got some good stuff brewing up! ;)

Surfer Boy Gets Sick
Miss seeing Mark Peckson around the office? That's because Mr. Ford himself is down with dengue. No need to panic! Our sources tell us he's fine and resting at home. Well, with the kind of weather we've been having lately, it sure isn't a bad time to be rolling around in bed.
Get well soon, Mark!
Clio Celebration Party at Commons!
For all you folks wondering if Joe Dy's Clio celebration party is pushing through tonight, the answer is YES! See you all later at Commons (of course). Rowdiness begins at around 8:30pm.
We wonder who will be the night's drunken winners this time. Are Kathy de Leon and Kathy Cosico ready to give up their crowns? Hmmm...
