Happy Birthday, Mira!

Here's yet another celebrant for the month of August (only two more to go)! We wish this lady one fabulous day!

Happy Birthday, Ramonito!

He celebrated his birthday yesterday!

Don't forget to holler out a belated greeting his way if you run into him!

Welcome to JWT, Pam!

Say hello to our new Executive Planning Director Pam Garcia, who will be officially starting work tomorrow!

Pam previously worked in Lowe as a Planning Director whose work for Surf was twice recognized at the Unilever ABC Awards. Her career began as a journalist for Philippine Daily Inquirer before moving on to Leo Burnett as an Account Executive.

“Planning is one of the cornerstones of JWT worldwide. We are excited to have a thought leader of Pam's calibre on board", Jos shares. "She brings with her a very intimate understanding of the low and middle income consumers, who are the primary sources of business for most of our clients in the Philippines.”

Let's all make sure Pam gets a big, warm welcome!

Fooseball Fever hits JWT

With only days left till the big day, excited contestants are now clamoring to practice with the hope of taking home the elusive P10,000 grand prize.

People who have never played before are just discovering spinning skills that they never knew they had. With over 35 registrants playing for cold hard cash, it looks like the Fooseballympics will be the JWT event of the year!

And ahem! Look who we discovered to be good at scoring goals.

eugene, maggie, myee and chinkay give it a go

maggie scores and proceeds to hop victoriously

(she's still hopping...)

"Group hug everyone!!" (please note that their game just started)

Don't miss the excitement this Friday afternoon at 4 pm! Tons of surprises await everyone!

Special Delivery for JWT!

Look what came through our pantry doors today! Fooseball fans can now practice on our two tables for the upcoming Fooseballympics this Friday!

New Biz Day

There’s no business like new business!

It's been a great day for JWT after having just won the Cream Silk modern trade merchandising pitch on top of acquiring J&J brands Sinutab and Benadryl. According to Jos, “These two brands are part of J&J OTC's Upper Respiratory Category, which represents the biggest opportunity for growth for the J&J OTC franchise.”

Naturally, a pizza and beer party was in order!

Congratulations to the Cream Silk and J&J Teams!

Team J&J (formerly Pfizer)

Adobo Plate Football Tournament

If you see Onat and Katrina hobbling around the office with golden tans, it’s because they participated in the inaugural Adobo Plate Football Tournament, held last August 9 at the Esteban School Field. Composed of teams from BBDO, DM9, Saatchi, Ogilvy and Squatters United, the one-day tournament had a healthy dose of fun, camaraderie and teamwork.

Onat played keeper for Team Impaq (aka Squatters United), composed of football afficionados from different agencies who couldn’t muster enough members to form an agency team.

Crap! It's headed my way!!!

Katrina was the striker for her former agency and one can deduce that she’s a heck of a player to be “pirated” by Saatchi.

Oh look! A hand to kick!

The dream is to form our very own Tabasco Football Club and represent the agency in the next tournament. C’mon peeps, let’s kick some balls!

Finance celebrates Sinful Friday

Looks like the big group lunches to celebrate the end of the week are becoming a trend in the office. Sir Gary treated his beloved department to yummy Chinese dishes like beef in broccoli sauce, lemon chicken and the inevitable sweet and sour pork. We wonder if their choice of cuisine had anything to do with the opening of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing today! Either way, 8/08/08 turned out to be a lucky day indeed for the Finance folks!

ready, set, KAIN!!!

pahingi ng kropek!

ang daming pagkain sa presidential table!

salo-salo together!

Separated at Birth Cycle 8

Happy Birthday, Marvs!

Marvs Taguba is our first celebrant for the month of August. Her birthday was actually yesterday but she is currently still accepting gifts (the same way we are welcoming any leftover birthday cake!)

We hope you had a special birthday, Marvs!

Friday Fiesta Lunch

Last August 1, BAT celebrated another one of its famous Sinful Friday lunches by inviting people from other departments to join in on the munching! Everyone came with their own contributions and hefty appetites. The result? A smorgasboard of gastronomic Pinoy favorites that had us rubbing our tummies in delight!

We can't wait for the next one! Do we hear Mr. Ferrer and his team planning it? ;)

come one, come all!

may banderitas pa talaga!

all diets are officially off today

the company that eats together, stays together

mukhang masarap yan ah!

happy munchers

and one who probably ate too much?

Welcome to JWT, Chinkay!

We apologize for this very delayed post! Now, we’re sure a lot of you have been wondering who that Janlo lookalike hanging around the Finance Department is. She’s no other than Chinkay Tuazon, our new Billing Assistant! She recently worked in JWT as a trainee and Finance loved her so much that they made her a regular employee.

An avid sports buff, she plays volleyball, badminton and basketball. She chose JWT because she believes in the company's solid training, she finds the people in her department "super nice and approachable" and because she simply loves her work!

Figuring she must be a Math wizard of sorts, we decided to give her a little test on the spot.

Juice Water Tinapay: What is the square root of 18,657 divided by 36 and multiplied by 743 to the 8th power??

Chinkay: Waaaaahhhhhhh...I don't know...absent ata ako nong tinuro 'to...Hahaha!

Oh well, we're still happy to have her in JWT!
